maternityThe physicians and staff with Partners in Women’s Health at Indian River Medical Center understand the unique health needs of women. Founded in 1995, Partners in Women’s Health is the result of a cooperative effort between the Indian River County Hospital District and Indian River Medical Center to ensure that all women have access to prenatal care.

We offer a broad spectrum of obstetrical and gynecological services to care for every aspect of women’s health. Partners in Women’s Health provides the most progressive treatment options with compassion and understanding.

  • Complete obstetrical care
    Offering prenatal care and education to help mothers ensure a healthy birth experience. We are the only office in Vero Beach offering weekly mother support groups, optional nutritional education, hospital tours, childbirth and breastfeeding education, and support for the new family.
  • Annual exams and pap smears
    Accepting all major insurances, appointments are generally available within a two-week timeframe.
  • Management of abnormal pap smear results
    Performing in-office colposcopies, biopsies, and loop electrosurgical excision procedures (LEEP).
  • Pelvic surgery
    When required, diagnostic laparoscopy, hysterectomy, myomectomy, etc. procedures performed at Indian River Medical Center.
  • Advanced minimally invasive surgery
    When indicated, surgical procedures performed less invasively, providing shorter hospital stays, quicker recoveries and less pain.
  • Basic infertility patient work-ups
    Laboratory work, exams, and referrals made to infertility specialists.
  • ESSURE® minimally invasive sterilization procedures
    Local anesthesia, no surgery, and offered in-office. Permanent sterilization without pain.
  • Birth control pills and devices such as MIRENA® IUD and NEXPLANON®
    Daily or long-lasting birth control medication and devices to help you plan your family.
  • Diagnostic and procedural hysteroscopy
    Using a small camera, diagnosis and treatment can be fast, safe and effective.
  • Treatment for abnormal uterine bleeding
    Thermal ablation to treat abnormal uterine bleeding.

Partners in Women’s Health is a joint cooperative between the Indian River Hospital District and Indian River Medical Center. Therefore, in addition to participating with most major insurers such as Blue Cross/Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Tricare, Cigna, and Aetna, we also accept both Medicare and Medicaid patients. We participate with the Hospital District in providing financial assistance to those who meet criteria.


We are open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Emergency medical care can be accessed 24/7 by calling our office and listening to the prompts.
