VERO BEACH, Fla. (May 3, 2018) — Indian River Medical Center Foundation invites the community to its 29th Annual May Pops Concert on May 6, 2018, on the polo grounds at Windsor. Gates open at 3:30 p.m. for early picnicking and the concert begins at 5:30 p.m.
WHAT IS MAY POPS?
May Pops is a treasured tradition in Vero Beach, made possible by the generosity of presenting sponsors Helen Post and The Plansoen Foundation and other generous supporters of IRMC Foundation. The outdoor concert features the Brevard Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Music Director Christopher Confessore, and Broadway vocalists Susan Egan and David Burnham.
Ms. Egan headlined on Broadway as Thoroughly Modern Millie, won critical acclaim as Sally Bowles in Cabaret, and received Tony Award and Drama Desk nominations for Best Actress as the original Belle in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Mr. Burnham played Fiyero in the mega-hit musical Wicked. He is an original Broadway cast member of The Light in the Piazza and received the Helen Hayes Award for Best Actor for his role as Fabrizio in the show’s national tour.
The late Dick Post joined his wife Helen as presenting sponsor for the first 24 years of May Pops. Since 2014, sponsors, guests, orchestra members, Chef Joe Faria and the Quail Valley catering staff have honored Dick by donning his signature bow tie for this event. All guests are encouraged to join in this special tribute.
Concert goers have three options: sponsorship with 12 guest tickets; VIP tickets, at $225 per person; or general admission tickets to the lawn area for $25 per person ($30 at the gate).
Sponsorship opportunities, ranging from $2,750 to $15,000, include VIP seating, VIP parking, admission, a cocktail reception prior to the concert catered by Chef Joe Faria/Quail Valley River Club, signage and recognition in a variety of materials.
Advanced lawn tickets are available at the IRMC Lobby Gift Shop, The Bottle Shop (Pelican Plaza on A1A, Vero Beach), and the IRMC Foundation office at 1000 37th Place, Suite 101, behind Perkins pharmacy. Tickets are not refundable or replaceable.
Funds raised benefit all who need the services of Indian River Medical Center. May Pops proceeds help to advance technologies, enhance facilities and elevate patient care through such services as the Jan Donlan Patient Advocate Program.
